In New Zealand, we stayed one night with the indigenous Maori people of New Zealand.  When we arrived a Maori warrior greeted us by waving his weapon ferociously in the air and tried to scare us.

We also selected a chief to represent our delegation.  At McDonalds during lunch, we voted and TR was selected as our chief.

After singing the Star Spangle Banner for the elders we approached them and touch noses with the elders to show a sign of respect.

After a wonderful dinner, the women and men of the Marae performed for us in their traditional dance.  The girls and guys of our delegation were also invited up there to try their Hakas, a dance used to intimidate the opponents.
